How does the AI book an appointment?
You tell Phone Bud the business, the kind of appointment, and your preferred times — for example, "Book a haircut at Clip Studio, ideally Thursday after 5 p.m., or Friday morning as a backup." The AI calls, asks what is open, picks a slot that matches your preferences, confirms it with the person on the line, and reads back the details to make sure everything is right. Then it reports the booking to you.
What if my preferred time is not free?
Give the AI a few acceptable windows or a simple fallback rule, and it will work within them. If a suitable time matches, it books it. If nothing fits, it does not guess — it collects the available options and reports them back so you can decide. You stay in control of what counts as an acceptable booking.
What kinds of bookings can it make?
- Restaurant reservations.
- Salon, barber, and spa appointments.
- Medical, dental, and clinic appointments.
- Home and auto service slots.
- Any phone-based scheduling where a person takes the booking.
Will I get a confirmation?
Yes. After the call you receive a transcript and a clear summary with the booked date and time, the business's name, and any confirmation number or instructions they gave — deposits, what to bring, cancellation policy, and so on. Everything you need is written up, so you do not have to listen back.
Is the AI honest with the business?
Phone Bud agents identify as AI when asked or when local rules require disclosure, and any recording follows consent law. The AI books on your behalf clearly and politely rather than pretending to be you.
What are the limits?
Phone Bud works in the United States and Canada at launch. Some appointments require personal medical or identity details the AI should not provide on your behalf; in those cases it gathers what it can and flags anything that needs you directly. For binding or high-stakes bookings, you may prefer to confirm yourself.
