Phone Bud places real calls to real people. You are the caller, so you are responsible for who you call and why. By using Phone Bud you agree to the rules below.
You must
- Have a lawful basis to contact each person you call — an existing relationship, prior consent, or a legitimate transactional reason.
- Comply with all applicable laws, including the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and FCC rules, and Canada's CRTC Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules.
- Respect Do-Not-Call lists and honor any opt-out or "stop calling" request promptly.
- Obtain recording consent where required, and follow the calling-hour limits that apply to your use case.
- Be truthful about who the call is from, and allow the AI to identify itself as AI.
You must not use Phone Bud to
- Make deceptive, fraudulent, or scam calls, or impersonate a person or organization without authorization.
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse anyone, or call repeatedly to annoy.
- Send unsolicited mass marketing or robocalls without the consent the law requires.
- Clone or use another person's voice without their permission.
- Evade recording-consent, do-not-call, or other legal requirements.
- Interfere with emergency services or critical infrastructure.
- Violate any law or third-party rights, or facilitate anything illegal.
Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, and we may cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate. We also apply technical safeguards (such as destination limits and recording rules) but these do not replace your own responsibility to call lawfully.
