Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 June 2026

This is a starter policy provided for transparency. Review it with qualified counsel before relying on it.

Who we are

Phone Bud ("we", "us") provides software that places outbound phone calls on your behalf using an AI voice agent and returns transcripts and structured results. This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it.

Information we collect

How we use it

Service providers

We share data with vendors who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the service: authentication and database (Supabase), telephony (Twilio), speech-to-text (AssemblyAI), language model (OpenAI), text-to-speech (Fish Audio), payments (Stripe), product analytics (PostHog), and hosting (Render). Each processes data under its own terms.

Call recordings and the people you call

When you place a call, you are the caller and are responsible for having a lawful basis to call and to record where applicable. Phone Bud follows call-recording consent rules and will skip recording in regions that require all-party consent. See our Recording & Consent page and Acceptable Use Policy.

Data retention

We retain account and call data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your data (see "Your rights").

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Children

Phone Bud is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Where we operate

Phone Bud is offered in the United States and Canada. Your data may be processed in the United States by us and our service providers.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
